“Why did she just slam the door anyways?”

“Why is there even a door she can slam like that?”

“What did she shout before storming out like an elephant?”

“Shhhhh, she might hear you!”

“Guys.”

“Nah seriously, I didn’t understand what she screamed as well.”

“Guys!”

“Since when are you able to form sentences like that anyway?!”

“GUYS!”

“WHAT?!”

“Do you know what’s in that room she entered?”

“No? Is there something wrong with that room?”

“Well….let me put it like that. You remember what she said last year, right?”

“She got so annoyed by this holiday that she threatened to burn down all the decorations the school allowed us to put up everywhere. Why?”

“Well…if I remember correctly we put some lighters and charcoal in there, you know, if we ever happen to throw a random barbecue party like last summer. You know. Lighters? Burn? Decorations?”

“…….”

“No? Okay.”

“SHEEEEEEZ!”

“We need a plan.”

“She might be scary when she’s annoyed-”
“-but I think I fear the rest of the female students just a bit more.”

“At least we get to choose our death.”

“Die with honor, men! If we have to go down, then we’ll go down protecting our beloved school!”

“YEAH!”

“I don’t get why you’d want to protect this school, but alright.”

“Listen up and listen well, my minions! Here’s what we’re going to do…”

(Y/n) sighed and pulled her knees just a bit closer to her chest. This was such a stupid holiday. Its entire purpose was basically non-existent. A holiday of love? Didn’t that just mean that love was absent today and utter stupidity took its place? At least that seemed a lot truer when one observed the behavior of girls on this day. Brainless, stupid, obnoxious and completely and utterly vulnerable. Valentine’s Day was the day when most girls cried for whatever reason, and the (h/c) girl hated it.

Sure, there once was a time when she also felt the butterflies in her stomach whenever this time of the year rolled around, but that was before she nearly tried confessing to the boy she liked at the time and seeing how he crushed another girls feelings right in front of her.
Now, all she saw when girls gave away chocolate and the like was a heart given away just to be crushed.

And she’d have to suffer through the pink hell for a while longer. Because if she could count on one thing in the world it would be the lovestruck girls that filed into the host club every time it was opened.
But she promised she would help out, and she was a woman of her word, so she closed her eyes and sighed just one more time before straightening out and timidly opening the door leading back to Music Room #3.
She didn’t expect the rose petals that fluttered out of the brightly lit room and around on her. She squinted for a moment at the sudden flood of light that starkly contrasted the darkness of her closet.
And she definitely didn’t expect the white rose that was suddenly held in front of her face, nearly hiding those brilliant lavender eyes that could only belong to the king.

“Now my little lamb, don’t be so shy. Come on out and enjoy the afternoon with us~”

Dumbstruck, she hesitantly took the offered flower before being pulled out of the closet completely.
Awaiting her, with the natural smirk adorning his features, was the shadow king.

“We were wondering when you would finally join us. It’s good to see you, Miss (Y/n).”
And with a fluent motion a purple rose joined its white companion.

“It’s high time you came out (Y/n).” “We’ve been waiting for you, you know.”
The ginger-haired spawns of hell spun her around in a slightly dizzying dance, an orange rose and a pale blue one joining the slowly growing bouquet of flowers sneakily, only to suddenly let go and leaving a slightly disoriented female staggering around for a bit until a pair of strong hands steadied her.

“Careful there.”
The silent giant let go and offered a dark blue rose, accompanied by a small bow, which (Y/n) took with a smile that threatened to grow with every passing moment.
She was unable to hide it anymore when her favorite boy loli peaked out behind his cousin’s legs with his signature smile and a baby pink rose in his hand.

“This one’s for you (Y/n)-chan! Let’s eat some cake later, alright?”
She nodded with a happy grin on her face that only intensified when she turned around to meet the Host Club’s very own natural type and only female host.
A deep red rose was the final addition to the now colorful bunch of roses in her hands, but what completely fixed the day for the surprised girl was the rare hug that she got from her normally deadpan best friend.

“We know you don’t particulary appreciate Valentine’s Day, but it doesn’t have to be about romantic love only, right? We should just get together as friends for a while and enjoy spending time with each other like this. It’s not like there are rules about how you have to spend your day.”

(Y/n) stared for a moment before starting to laugh. “Yeah, you’re right. I don’t know what I thought by sulking like that, but that’s over for today. You guys are the best! Thank you so much for being by my side all the time!”

And thus, another Valentine’s Day went smoothly without any injured people or burning buildings.

Extended Ending

“Phew, I think we managed to avert a crisis. Congratulations!”

“Yeah, I think we did pretty well!”

“And she seemed really happy too!”

“Well done you kids. Now, you might want to stop talking unless you want (Y/n) to hear you. Women’s emotions are a tricky thing after all.”

“Shhhh, don’t let Haruhi hear that!”
